+ Is Whoa Doggy! insured and bonded?

You bet! Whoa Doggy! is insured and Bonded through Business Insurers of the Carolinas and is a member of Pet Sitters International. You can have peace of mind knowing that someone you trust is caring for your pet while you’re away, so you’ll only need to think about being greeted by a happy face and wagging tail when you return.

+ When do I give you my keys?

We usually take possession of two sets of keys to your home during your Meet & Greet. If you are unable to provide keys during your Meet & Greet, we can pick them up another time for a small fee, as long as it is prior to the first date of scheduled service. Keys cannot be picked up the same day as the first scheduled service. We require two sets of keys to your home before we can begin service. Keep on reading for more information...

+ Why does Whoa Doggy! need two sets of keys?

A second set of keys is required strictly as an emergency backup plan. Emergencies can happen any time, and usually without warning (that's what makes it an emergency!). If your sitter gets a flat tire before getting to your home for your pet's scheduled visit, we don't think your pet should have to wait for that emergency to be tended to. The second set of keys is there for just this type of situation. With the backup plan in place, another trained Whoa Doggy! Team Member can pickup the backup key, and head right over to your home, and your pet gets his visit ON TIME. + How do you handle the keys to my home?

Emergencies happen when we least expect them, right? That's why Whoa Doggy! has a backup plan in place. This provides an added layer of security and peace of mind that your pet will be cared for, no matter what. Both keys are coded with a unique identifier - not your name, your pet's name, or your address. Your keys are always locked in a safe at Whoa Doggy! headquarters at all times when not in use, and only one key is signed out at a time when you have a scheduled visit. + How do I schedule my service?

Easily! Existing clients can schedule visits 24/7 online using our handy Online Scheduling Portal. This lets you setup your pet's schedule exactly how you want it, specifying if a feeding or medications are needed, and a few other handy extra services. Did you know we accept credit card payment? You can easily add this option to you online profile, too! If you're new to Whoa Doggy!, we'll need to schedule a Meet & Greet to get you all set up. Just Give Us a Holler any time to get started!

+ What if I need to cancel?

It happens. We ask that you give as much notice as possible, at least 24 hours. Same-day cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee up to the value of the service scheduled for that day. Visits scheduled on holidays, or when holiday rates are in effect, are subject to a 5-day cancellation period.

+ What types of payment does Whoa Doggy! accept?

We accept credit cards, debit cards, cash or checks. Please make all checks payable to Whoa Doggy!

+ Will you take my dog to the dog park? He loves playing there and is also really good on walks without a leash.

As dog owners, we fully understand the benefits and advantages these activities can have and we encourage you to continue them, but these situations can leave your dog in a vulnerable position with variables that we may not be able to control, so we will not provide off-leash walks or trips to the dog park. Your dog’s safety and comfort are our priority! We will provide plenty of one-on-one playtime, neighborhood sightseeing and an all-around good time!

+ My pet takes medications. Will you administer them?

Sure! As long as your pet does not pose a threat to the sitter, we are happy to help you keep all medications on a regular schedule. We are trained in administering injections, oral meds, and topical meds. We can talk about your pet's needs in detail during our Meet & Greet.

+ Do you pick up the you-know-what when the dog makes a you-know-what?

Yes! We love our neighborhoods, and want to keep them clean! Whoa Doggy! will always demonstrate professionalism on our dog walks, so we make it our business to pick up your dog's business.

+ Which holidays are your Holiday Rate applied to?

Our holiday rate is applied to all visits on the following holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Easter Sunday
  • Memorial Day Weekend (Sat-Mon)
  • Independence Day and adjacent weekend
  • Labor Day Weekend (Sat-Mon)
  • Thanksgiving Recess (Thurs-Sun)
  • Christmas & New Year Recess (Dec 24th - Dec 31st)

You will always see the holiday rates listed in the scheduler online, as well as in your confirmation email, so there will never be any surprises!
