Erica Gomez, founder of Whoa Doggy! Pet Sitting, has enjoyed countless hours caring for her friends’ and family’s pets, but she is all too familiar with the challenges of finding quality care for her own. It is truly invaluable to find a pet sitter you can trust to care for your furry loved ones. Someone you can trust to help with the “Our dog is locked inside the house…so are the keys!” debacle during the wedding day shuffle, or the unexpected 12-hour workday (think about how long that is in dog time!). Erica and her husband, Garey, are life-long animal lovers and treat their “apartment-size” black lab, Cody, like a member of the family. Cody goes every place dogs are allowed, but for those other times, Erica and Garey began to feel bad asking the same friends to pet sit. They had trouble finding anyone else that would care for Cody (and their home) the way they would, and they knew they weren’t the only ones with this problem.
Enter, Whoa Doggy!
Erica and Garey are NJ natives that made a cross-country move to San Diego while Erica attended grad school. Another cross-country move, this time to Atlanta, and 20+ dog years later, Erica, Garey and Cody are happy residents of Lake Claire, where they plan to stay. They can be spotted riding bikes, going for runs or walking around Atlanta and Decatur and enjoying all that Atlanta has to offer. Cody enjoys meeting new friends, mountain biking with his dad, naps, going for rides in the car and chasing the occasional squirrel.
